Budapest – Rooftop Terrace for a Family Home

Our assignment was to design the rooftop terrace of a newly built family home. The owner envisioned a relatively large grass area, along with a built-in sauna and a lounge terrace covered by a pergola. To preserve the view, the terrace was enclosed with a glass railing. The glass panels are supported by custom-designed bases, which are stabilized by the weight of surrounding planter boxes. These planters hold low-maintenance, drought-tolerant perennial plants that do not obstruct the panoramic view of the city.
